Hello everybody and welcome to the TalkOn.it blog. Here you'll be able to read about the latest goings on behind the scenes at TalkOn.it HQ and find out about our latest features.

We'll start off with an overview about the network. We currently have 47 websites ranging from martial arts such as Judo and Karate to more leisurely pursuits such as Camping and Climbing.

We also cover many mainstream sports such as Football and Cricket. The full list of sites are available on the TalkOn.it homepage

Just to tell you how we've got here and where we are going over the next few months.

The TalkOn.it Network breathed into life on August 1st 2007 with the launch of the vast majority of websites. On a new system built by Matt Godwin and designed by Harry Ford, the websites saw traffic for the first time but changes were soon to be made. The design of the sites has been tweaked and optimised on several occasions, to what we see today.

Harry was backed up by his fellow illustrator Nick Haines to start adding drawings and diagrams to the sites. The most popular of these so far are on the football skills pages where you can learn how to do all those moves that your favourite players do week in, week out on TV. Other drawings include all the different bows used in archery and in our comprehensive guide to learning to ski.

One of the big projects that we have undertaken so far is writing about all the professional football clubs in England. So far all the Premiership clubs are done and the clubs for all the other leagues are nearly finished. We'll keep you updated on the status of these the projects right here on the TalkOn.it blog.

The guides that are up on all the sites are there for enthusiasts to learn and gain more information about their passions. If you want to know about what tent would be best for your camping trip, then we can help. If you are into Ice Hockey but need to learn about how to perform all the skills then we can again help.

We have around one million words of information already and that is only being added to all the time. If there is a question you need answered on any of these sports or hobbies then its more likely than not to be covered by us. If it isn't and you want to ask us for advice then feel free to write in via our contact us form. You can also use that form if you have any suggestions or ideas, we always love receiving your feedback.

In the near future we shall we launching the TalkOn.it Forums - where you'll be able to write and talk about whatever takes your fancy. You'll be able to hear about their launch first right here on the blog or via our mailing list, to sign up please fill out the form on the right hand side of this page

Keep checking the TalkOn.it blog for the latest changes and additions to the sites, we'll be very busy over the coming weeks and months.

I have read with interest your account of the life & times of Jake LaMotta. Just thought you & your readers might like to know the following; If you are in NYC, on Wednesday evenings, Jake can be found at the Il Vagabondo restaurant on E. 62nd Street in Manhattan. I don't have the exact address. It is a wonderful Italian restaurant with it's own Bocce court. He is usually there wearing a big cowboy hat, with several other people around him. I met him there and he was very gracious. I got an autographed picture, apologized for the intrusion and went back to my dinner. I was told by someone who has ties to the restaurant that he would be there and he did not mind giving out his autograph. Just thought you folks might want to know that. Ciao
